Description
Ozzee and her seven sisters are young mosquitoes. To become adult females they must learn to bite humans and drink their blood. Each afternoon their parents teach them and each evening they fly off to practise. They face difficulties and danger as they try to bite some school-children, a teacher, some men, and even a little baby.
But Ozzee doesn’t want to. It is too scary and too hard. She wishes she could just doze the night away by her lovely village pond. Can brave Fizzee help Dozy Ozzee succeed in biting a human and sucking some blood?
Naturally, we humans don’t want mosquitoes to bite us. If they have bitten someone with malaria, then they can then pass it to us. So, after hearing the story of Ozzee the Dozy Mozzee, the teacher uses it to help the children learn how to avoid being bitten themselves.
